Samples of Coursework

Throughout my undergraduate degree, I demonstrated my knowledge through various types of projects, papers, reports, etc. Below I have selected two samples of my past work to showcase my linguistic, cultural/literature, and business proficiency.

Linguistic Proficiency

SPAN 3060: Spanish for International Business and Spanish I

Over the semester, we were assigned a project to start a new business in an assigned country. My partner and I created an adventure park for children in Uruguay.

SPAN 3020: Intermediate Spanish for Grammar and Composition

This class focused on composing Spanish essays and reports on a variety of topics to strengthen our writing skills. Below is an essay that I wrote arguing how it is more beneficial to have real world work experience than to be in a classroom.

Cultural/Literature Proficiency

SPAN 3070: The Hispanic World (Spain)

For the final of this course, I wrote a report about the Spanish Civil War and the Dictatorship of Francisco Franco.

SPAN 3040: Introduction to Hispanic Literary Forms

In this class, we examined many different Spanish authors such as Antonio Machado, Jorge Luis Borges, Carmen Laforet, and others. Because I took this class in Andalucia, we spent a lot of time specifically on Federico García Lorca. Below is a paper I wrote examining one piece of Lorca's most famous works, Bodas de Sangre.

Business Proficiency

MGT 4230: International Business Management

For the final of this course, I had a group project where we had to pick a franchise to enter a new country. My team and I selected Shake Shake to enter Ireland. I was responsible for the executive summary, market analysis, and the target country infrastructure sections of the report.

ECON 3020: Money and Banking

Throughout the duration of this course, I wrote a handful of essays analyzing different academic papers written about monetary theory. Below is a sample of one of my essays analyzing a paper about the economic structure of a prisoner of war camp.
